Just an interesting little story for ya...
We purchased the above featured truck (Chevy S-10) when Nick got a job with Quadrant Homes as an Assistant Superintendant because he needs to use it for various construction related projects. Of course, as any truck owner would know, it is used for MANY purposes, such as hauling heavy loads, transporting many bulky items at once, moving people, bringing home fun purchases, etc. Pretty much, when you buy a truck, your popularity level goes WAY up. So, naturally there comes a time when you feel "used and abused," (well, at least tired of running errands) and also get sick of filling up the tank. We've been saying for months that we will not keep this truck for long. A couple weeks ago, Nick posted it on Craig's List and said he'd like to get a smaller, more fuel efficient car. At least this is a 4-Cylinder instead of 6 or 8, but that's kind of another reason we hate it: it has no guts. Our late Nissan Altima had more power than this thing. Chevy S-10 makes this loud groaning noise (like an angry mom) when you push it to go up a hill.
Okay, so time for the story, now that you have the background. Last Saturday, Nick's friend, Ben, asked him if the truck could pull a tree out of the his front yard. Nick was doubtful but willing to try. He warned Ben that it was a pretty wimpy truck, but they hooked it up anyway. As Nick pressed on the gas, it popped right out like a loose tooth. So, after Nick tells me this story, he says, "You know, maybe we'll hang on to this truck for a while." HA ha ha aha ha aaaa (breath) haaa ha ahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right! So, thanks, Ben, for changing the image of the truck forever. I guess it has enough muscle to earn respect. At least enough respect to last a bit longer.

So, the little truck redeemed itself! It probably knew it would have to pull out all the stops if it wanted to stay :)
Yeah for the Mexi mobile with a orange striped tire!:)
Nick don't you ever get rid of that truck. That truck made it to Qwest field and back in a flash(on the sabbath none the less). I would feel horrible if you got rid of the little engine that could. I guess it feels a little like a part of me.
So when do I get a joy ride in the Mexi-mobile?! Jen, Jen...you've been holding out on me. :) Love ya! Mara
